Ancient thought has always admired the exceptional, the extreme, the superhuman type of humanity. In India they are called as the Vibhuti, the Western world, the Genius. But what really constitutes the phenomenon of genius in any field? What is its relation to the Yoga of the world as it unfolds itself? The Gita does indeed declare it as the Vibhuti Yoga and gives it a place of just importance in the unfolding march of humanity. Today we share some aspects of this doctrine of the Vibhuti drawing some insights from the life of (late) Mohammad Ali, the pugilist of world fame who died few days back, as also of Mr Rammurthy Naidu whose unusual physical prowess earned him the honorifics of Kali Yugi Bheem and Hercules.
